Bejeweled Green Tara Savior Goddess

While her left leg is folded in the contemplative position, her right leg is gently outstretched, ever ready to spring into action at the slightest request. Her hands are in the gesture of granting protection and wish fulfilling, with her symbolic half-opened blue lotus (utpala) which represents purity and power in one of her left hands. Sitting on a golden lotus seat, she is crowned with a jewel encrusted tiara and adorned with the brilliant precious ornaments of various colors.

Although she is the fiercer form of Tara, she is a savior-Bodhisattva of compassion especially revered for her ability to overcome the most difficult of situations.
