This is an exquisite representation of the three deities namely, the Medicine Buddha, Green Tara and Yellow Dzambhala, sculptured from liuli in intricate details and set against a glass backdrop lined with auspicious and protective mantras. Medicine Buddha, so named because of his compassionate ability to provide the ultimate antidote to the removal of success and health obstacles, is the embodiment of the collective healing power of all the Buddhas. He is the physician, the enlightened healer who protects living beings from physical and mental sickness, as well as other dangers and obstacles. The Medicine Buddha is depicted sitting on a lotus throne with his right hand outstretched towards ground over his right knee in the gesture called supreme generosity. In it he holds the blooming myrobalan, or arura - the plant that represents all the best medicines. His left hand is in the meditation mudra - rested in his lap, palm upward and holding a pot which contains the nectar of immortality. All these signify eradication of sickness and suffering, and are especially effective in countering the sickness energy from the #2 Illness Star.
The beautiful Green Tara is one of the more popular forms of the savior Goddess Tara, worshiped for her assistance in aiding the believer to overcome obstacles on the path to enlightenment. She is depicted in a posture of ease and readiness for action. While her left leg is folded in the contemplative position, her right leg is gently outstretched, ever ready to spring into action at the slightest request. Besides her traditional protective role, the Green Tara also has the additional ability to bring success and wealth by overcoming obstacles and hindrances. When called upon, this intensely compassionate goddess instantaneously acts to help grant us our sincere wishes.
Yellow Dzambhala, the Tibetan name for Yellow Wealth God, is one of the five Gods of Wealth who takes care of fortunes. He is able to help beings by getting rid of poverty, and leading them to abundance of wealth. Depicted with a stern expression, holding in his left hand a jewel spitting mongoose and seated on a lotus, Dzambhala is believed to be a manifestation of Chenzrig, the Compassionate Buddha to help alleviate poverty and bring wealth to the homes of the suffering beings so that they will not be distracted from practicing the good heart.
