Cleansing or Singing Bowl, also known as a Himalayan bowl or cup gong, is a musical instrument used in Buddhist meditation, dating back many centuries. They are traditionally played in Tibet, Nepal, India, China, Japan, and Korea, mostly by Buddhist monks and in monasteries. Today, Singing Bowls are frequently used for meditation, prayers, hymns, healing, sound massage, chakra balancing, yoga, and purification of Chi (energy) in Feng Shui practice. It is especially good in attracting new business opportunities and increasing sales.

The Singing Bowl will “sing”, producing a pure and loud multiplying metallic sound when the mallet is hit against the rim of the bowl. This vibrant, crisp, and crystal clear sound created by the Singing Bowl instantly clears away negative energy in any living space and purifies the energy in all space ‘touched’ by it. The continuous harmonic sound enhances and purifies the Chi, enlivens and nourishes stale Chi with balanced yin and yang energy, chases away negative energy, transforms inauspicious energies into auspicious energies, and produces Seng Chi, the intrinsic energy which brings good fortune and prosperity. In addition, the lingering and soothing harmonics produced penetrates deep within the body and mind creating a sense of tranquility and subtle healing.

The Eight Auspicious Symbols, aka Ashtamangala, are a group of lucky Buddhist symbols that appear on many Buddhist textiles, objects, and paintings. They invite good fortunes to your home, other than material luck, it also brings spiritual luck into your life so that you will get to enjoy true happiness while having peace of mind at all times. Each symbol represents an aspect of Buddhist teaching and when they appear together, their powers are said to multiply.

The eight Buddhist auspicious symbols consist of a parasol, pair of golden fish, the great treasure vase, a lotus, the right-turning conch, the endless knot, the banner of victory, and the wheel of dharma.

Parasol (Chattra) – royalty and spiritual power and protection from suffering, desire, obstacles, and illness. The parasol dome can symbolize wisdom and the hanging skirt, compassion.

Golden Fish (Suvarnamatsya) – happiness, freedom, abundance, good fortune, fertility, and salvation.

Treasure Vase (Kalasha) – spiritual and material abundance. The ‘inexhaustible treasures’ possess special qualities so that however much is removed from the vase, it will always remain full. Therefore it symbolizes long life and prosperity.

Lotus (Padma) – The lotus flower symbolizes the complete purification of the defilements of the body, speech, and mind, and the full blossoming of wholesome deeds in blissful liberation.

Conch Shell (sankha) – It is a symbol of power and sovereignty, the sound believed to banish evil spirits, scare away harmful creatures and avert natural disasters. Buddhism adopted it as a symbol of religious sovereignty and an emblem that spreads the truth of the dharma.

Endless Knot (Shrivastava) – The endless knot overlaps without a beginning or an end, symbolizing the Buddha’s endless wisdom and compassion. It indicates continuity as the underlying reality of existence.

Victory Banner (Dhvaja) – the victory of the Buddha’s teachings, enlightenment, and wisdom over ignorance.

Wheel (Dharmachakra) – Buddhism adopted the wheel to symbolize the teachings of the Budhha. Also known as the wheel of law. In Tibetan, this means ‘the wheel of transformation’ or spiritual change, and can represent the overcoming of all obstacles and illusions.

Besides benefiting from the auspiciousness of these symbols, the Singing Bowl can also act as a Big Metal to suppress inauspicious energies brought by Earth flying stars such as the #2 illness star and #5 misfortune star. Also, a great enhancer where you need to strengthen the metal energies of a particular sector for example Northwest to enhance your Mentor luck.
