Four adorable central characters of the Chinese epic Journey to the West.

Description

Four adorable central characters of the Chinese epic Journey to the West. This cute set of hand-painted figurines is made up of the Monk Xuanzang, also known as Tang San Zang meaning Tang Tripitaka Master and his three protectors/disciples Sun Wu Kong (the Monkey God), Zhu Bajie (literally “Pig of the Eight Prohibitions”) and Sha Wujing (literally “Sand Awakened to Purity”). Tasked by the Buddha, together they traveled to the “Western Regions” to obtain sacred sutras and returned to China after many daunting challenges and much suffering, subduing demons and conquering one obstacle after another along the way. Their arduous pilgrimage symbolizes our journey towards enlightenment and serves as a reminder to all of us that with pure intentions and determination, no mountain is too high and no valley is too wide.

Display them in your car’s dashboard or in your home/office to bring a smile to you whenever you look at them.
