This amulet is shown with an image of the Kuan Yin (Goddess of Mercy and Compassion) seated peacefully on a lotus flower and holding a vase of nectar on one side of the octagonal plate and the image of a Pakua with eight trigrams on the other. It’s tied with mystic knots, also known as the lucky knots on both ends. The four Chinese characters “Bao You Ping Aun” means “Protection from Harm”.
