8 Reasons why Feng Shui is NOT working for you!

Feng Shui has numerous advantages. Better health, attracting love, and improving your financial luck are just a few of them.
So, when you Feng Shui your home, I’m assuming you have some objectives in mind. You may have enlisted the help of a Feng Shui consultant. Alternatively, you may have read some articles and attempted to do it yourself. However, the promised advantages have yet to materialize. Before you dismiss Feng Shui as a myth or superstition, consider the following eight reasons why it isn’t working for you.

Chinese Temple

01. You left out Macro Feng Shui.

Feng Shui is more than just what takes place inside your home. What’s outside your home is just as important if not more.

Say you have the perfect home that suits you and your family. The front door, kitchen, and room are all in large locations. However, your house is surrounded by waste treatment facilities or other types of Feng Shui dangers. Do you think you’ll be able to enjoy life there? Well, I doubt it.

The external environment Feng Shui and the neighborhood have a great impact on your well-being. For example, the Feng Shui macro of West Vancouver, with the surrounding water and mountains, has made it one of the richest neighborhoods in North America.

02. Your Bazi didn’t fit into Feng Shui Reading.

While the Kua just needs your year of birth to calculate, the Bazi needs your year, month, day, and time of birth. Think about it this way. Feng Shui’s Kua number describes people broadly, similar to a profile based on race and gender. It doesn’t tell you who the person really is. With Bazi, you learn more details, such as health, personality, and which of the five things you need to boost your life.

“ Suggested: Bazi can reveal your lucky phases and how you will deal with them in terms of health, wealth, love, and more.”

For instance, a commonly used water dragon Feng Shui wealth formula could work for some people but not others. Such a wealth formula will benefit someone with a strong Earth Bazi. The Water Dragon wealth formula, on the other hand, will not benefit someone whose Bazi is a weak Fire Element.

So, if that Feng Shui wealth setup isn’t working for you, it’s possible that your Bazi requires a different kind of Feng Shui setup.

03. The Feng Shui Benefit was Misunderstood.

Here, I’ll just point out two common misunderstandings :

Many modern Feng Shui setups claim to attract money and wealth when, in reality, they were designed to attract prosperity. The terms “wealth” and “prosperity” are not interchangeable. Wealth is a portion of prosperity, but it does not associate with money in your pocket. So don’t be surprised if your Feng Shui wealth setup doesn’t result in a bigger bank account.

The second misunderstanding involves the subject of love. The setup for attracting love and improving romance in Feng Shui is VERY different. Attracting love is more commonly used by singles looking for a partner, whereas improving romance is more commonly used by married or in a relationship couples.

“ People who are already in a relationship should not use the setup for attracting love. This will have the opposite effect, resulting in the presence of a third party in your relationship.”

04. You didn’t use the proper Feng Shui cures.

Feng Shui has become quite commercialized in recent years. You’ll see people selling a variety of Feng Shui items here and there, all of which make big claims.

For example, you may have heard that a Bagua mirror or crystal can solve all of your Feng Shui issues (which is not the case). Alternatively, you’ve probably heard that putting a wind chime in a room can help strengthen the Qi (this totally depends on which area of the house).

I’m sorry to disappoint you, but Feng Shui does not work that way. It’s not magic, and there’s rarely a “one-size-fits-all” solution.

This enchanting 4 Friendship Wind Chime consists of 6 gold plated brass rods strung together on a circular metal plate hanging from a golden medallion featuring images of the four animal friends – an elephant, a monkey, a rabbit, and a bird – positioned on top of each other.

The three-legged toad, for example, is merely a symbol of wealth. It does not bring us any money. The Bagua mirror should only be used outdoors after consulting with a professional. Wind chimes, on the other hand, should only be used in specific areas. In fact, some experts advise against using it because the sound is thought to bring bad luck.

The Money Frog, also known as the three-legged toad or “Chan Chu” in Chinese is probably the most auspicious symbol of money-making.

Your own birth chart, as well as the location, compass directions, and construction date of the building, should all be taken into account when performing Feng Shui readings, cures, and boosts. Randomly applying Feng Shui cures will have little or no effect.

05. You Ignored  Details from Other Feng Shui Rules.

This happens a lot when people use Feng Shui tips and cures without really understanding what they’re doing.

For example, you might have read that your bed should be in a command position. You agreed, and you shifted your bed to accommodate it.

There are, however, plenty of other bed placement guidelines to consider. What if, for example, putting your bed in command means putting the head of your bed under a window? Also, what if putting it in command means the bedroom door will be facing the bed?

Following one set of bed placement rules may conflict with another. If you don’t have any Feng Shui training or experience, it’s easy to overlook those details and thus fail to achieve the desired Feng Shui results. If you’d like to learn more about Feng Shui, here are some beginner classes to help you get started.

06. You didn’t make the recommended changes.

This is probably the most common reason why your Feng Shui isn’t working.

After all, they paid for the consultation. Why aren’t these changes being implemented?

In most cases, only one family member is seeking Feng Shui assistance, and the rest of the family is opposed to the idea. If this is happening to you, try to work out a deal with them. You probably don’t need to bring up the subject of Feng Shui. Simply propose the new arrangement or setup, and it will be implemented.

Keep in mind that most people are close-minded. They prefer the status quo because it is familiar to them. Change has an unknown outcome, and almost everyone is afraid of the unknown because things could get worse or inconvenient. If your family members are like this, talk to them, console them, and promise to get things back to normal if things don’t improve.

07. You anticipate immediate improvements.

Please. Don’t expect to see results right away. Feng Shui does not work in the same way that magic does.

So, if you’ve set up your Feng Shui correctly, be patient. In the beginning, you’ll notice small changes here and there. Small changes in your life will usually compound and lead to larger changes in your life.

08. You Sought Advice From Too Many Experts.

I always recommend getting a second opinion when consulting a Feng Shui Expert or any other professional service. It can, however, become a problem if you consult too many people. Consulting a well-known expert can sometimes result in a bigger problem.

There are numerous schools of thought in Feng Shui. The Black Hat sect and Classical Feng Shui, which includes the Compass School and the Form School, are just a few examples. Because the Black Hat and Classical Feng Shui use two different methods to determine placements, mixing the two can cause issues.

Classical Feng Shui has always been my preference. Furthermore, the experts you consult should be familiar with the majority of the classical Feng Shui schools. The expert should observe and analyze what can be seen with the Form School, and calculate what cannot be seen with the Compass School.
